As a heavily invested MacOS user, and apple ecosystem user in general, there are definitely some applications that improve my day to day usage. These are applications that either improve my workflow, productivity, or just allow me to have better insight into MacOS.

iStats Menu

If you ever wanted to know your cpu, gpu, memory consumption, current temperatures of your mac, fan speeds, and much more then iStats menu is the tool.

It allows you to customize what hardware parts of your mac you would want more information on and adds them as menu bar items. As a software engineer this is quite useful to at a glance check my memory consumption or CPU load while working. I understand that iStats might not be useful for everyone but it still a fantastic single pane of glass into metrics of your mac.
